Welcome to the Hillside Avenue School Library

The purpose of the Hillside Library is to produce life long lovers of literature and skilled users of information. Our model is the Information Literacy standards set forth by the American Library Association.

The library is openly daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It will be posted on the daily bulletin and on the daily announcements if the library will be closed.

Materials in the library circulate for a 2 week period. At the end of the 2 weeks the materials may be renewed. Elementary students are encouraged to return their books weekly. Each week they are allow to check out the number of books they return.

http://search.epnet.com – You will have access to a host of resources including: newspapers, magazine and journal articles, Sear chas urus (Funk & Wagnalls Encyclopedia, Dictionary, Picture Gallery, Magazines and other resources for students.) This service is provided by the New Jersey State Library. It is a password protected service. You can gain access by getting the User ID and password from the Cranford Public Library and Hillside Ave School Library.
